Close to the water in Beverly, Massachusetts, is a lovely three-bedroom contemporary home. We were asked to renovate one of the 3.5 bathrooms, replacing the shower, painting and tiling. The project from demolition to complete renovation was scheduled for the beginning of February and finished by the middle of February—just over two weeks.
We began the bathroom renovation by demolishing the old shower, including the tile floor and all the fixtures. We always carefully isolate the room that we’re working in to keep dust and debris from spreading throughout the house. We also clean up afterward; in fact, we clean up every day before we leave. If you saw the project notes for this Beverly, Massachusetts, project, they would go something like this:
Pick up materials, set up equipment, demo tiles on floor. Clean up.
Skim coat to feather out shower. (This means that the team smoothed rough or damaged walls by applying a skim coat of mud.) Clean up.
Scribe and cut shower panels and install. Clean up.
When the new shower and tile floor were fully installed, we prepared, primed and painted the walls, trim and ceiling. We installed the shower door. And yes, we cleaned up!
As always we coordinated with the plumber and electrician along the way, using professionals that we have worked with in the past on kitchen and bathroom renovations. After so many years living and working on the North Shore, we know who meets our high standards for quality, on time, on budget work, and they know to expect the same standards from WORKS. Good people know good people.
The Beverly, Massachusetts homeowner is now enjoying a renovated bathroom. The WORKS team is on to another renovation project in another North Shore location but three things you can be sure of: we’re delivering quality craftsmanship, we’re working with finest professionals, and we’re keeping the site clean.
